Here's Our (Typical) Process:

Typically, Website in a Week Looks like this — adjustments can always be made when circumstances arise.

  1. Phase One: Contracting

    (Typically before your Day One)

Our crystal clear proposal and contracts are sent your way. Once you look them over, sign, and make the initial payment, we get right to work, sister!

  2. Phase Two: Onboarding

    (Typically Monday)

You'll be sent some access to sheets, GPTs, and Google Drive folders. We'll ask for some assets such as colors, images, copy, and your domain registrar.

  3. Phase Three: Prep Call

    (Typically Tuesday)

We get on a "coffee chat" prep call to review your assets, answer any questions, and make sure we are prepped and ready for Design Day!

  4. Phase Four: *Design Day

    (Typically Wednesday or Thursday)

This is where the soul-sister magic happens! We'll need access to you periodically (text is usually fine), with two scheduled hours together to review and revise as needed.

  5. Live Launch

    (Typically Thursday or Friday)

After design finalization and approval, we connect domains, hosting, security, and transactional (website internal) email.

  6. Post-Launch **Care Plan

    (Ongoing for one year minimum)

Our signature monthly care plan is a required part of our products. You choose your package, your care-level, and price, and we maintain and make edits accordingly.

*Design Day can't happen without completion of Phases 1-3

**Care plans are required on all our website designs.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Some of our most frequently asked questions are listed below. If you don't see an answer, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Will I need to be available on my Design Day?

Yes, you will be needed. Not 'sitting at your phone or computer all day,' needed, but you'll want to make sure you have your phone or Google Meet handy if questions or feedback requests arrive. Plan on being free around 3-5 MST for the reveal and revisions process.

Is WordPress my only website option?

For now, yes. I exclusively use WordPress + Etch, with Sure products for courses, memberships, and e-commerce.

Are there additional costs?

Yes – two for-sure additional costs. You will need to purchase your own domain at Namecheap (~$10-$20), and renew it annually. Also, the monthly careplan is required. Careplans start at $52/month for hosting and plugin updates only, with additional, more comprehensive careplan package options available, ranging up to $152 for full service and support.

Do you offer payment plans?

We require 1/2 down to start any project, and the other 1/2 is required prior to launch (custom sites) or approximately a month later, as stated in your Website in a Week contract. We will also consider special she-empowering circumstances as well.

Do I need anything else?

You will need a Google Drive account. We will share a folder for asset upload, instructions, and project management all within that Google Drive. You don't need to pay for any other subscriptions, and you don't need to create any other additional accounts.

How do I schedule my Design Day?

Once your invoice is paid, you'll receive a Google folder to upload assets, and prepare for your Design Day. You can schedule your Design Day as soon as you've paid your invoice, but you will want to give yourself time to get all the required assets uploaded and ready. If you have booked your Design Day, and you do not have assets ready for your scheduled day, there will be a rescheduling fee. This fee will need to be paid before you can book again.

Do I need to have Branding before I start?

Yes. Unless you purchase this as an additional package, yes. You need to have a logo, a brand name, and you will need to choose your domain name accordingly. We have tutorials and support for each of these aspects within your Website in a Week portal.

Do I need to write my own copy, and have my own images?

Yes. Unless you purchase this as an additional package, yes. You will upload both to your Google Drive prior to Design Day. We have turorials and support for each of these aspects within your Website in a Week portal. You can also purchase add-ons where we support you with these assets (NOT our #1 areas of expertise, but we can hold our own), or we have recommendations for true experts in each area as well.

What is the Website in a Week portal?

This is a portal within our website, or within your Google Folder (depending on when you sign up) that holds support tools, assets, and lessons. If you are stuck on an aspect of your Prep Phase, you can find answers here. You can also purchase additional supports if you decide you would rather have us handle this, and we have recommendations for experts in copy, images, and branding as well.

Do you use AI?

Minimally. Every aspect of our projects starts and ends with a human. When stuck on a particular code block, or when brainstorming the perfect header, we may turn to AI. But 90% or more of our work is human. We do provide AI tools in your Prep Phase contents, to support you. You don't have to use them, but they're handy, functional, and there if you need them.
