???Frequently Asked Questions:

Some of our most frequently asked questions are listed below. If you don't see an answer, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Do I have to be a woman, who empowers other women?

Yes. Website in a Week and our Templated Websites are built to exclusively serve women authors, coaches, and course creators who work explicitly to empower other women. We are happy to provide amazing referrals for other website niches and purposes.

How do the website options – author, coach, and course creator – differ?

They're basically the same – the structure, design, and layout will vary depending on the goal and purpose of the website, AND the primary Sure product will vary. All sites get the base set-up for each of the following plugins, but primarily Authors –> SureCart (for book sales); Coaches –> SureMembers (for memberships); Course Creators –> SureDash for courses. BUT – you can mix and match, or use an Add-On to go beyond base set-up of more than one. The Add-On will lengthen your project completion (but will not delay your launch).

Is WordPress my only website option?

For now, yes. I exclusively use WordPress + Etch, with Sure products for courses, memberships, and e-commerce.

Are there additional costs?

Yes – two for-sure additional costs. You will need to purchase your own domain at Namecheap (~$10-$20), and renew it annually. Also, the monthly careplan is required. Careplans start at $74/month for basic but high-quality support, with additional, more comprehensive careplan package options available, ranging up to $152 for full service and support.

Do you offer payment plans?

We require 1/2 down to start any project, and the other 1/2 is required on the first day of the month post-launch, as stated in your Website in a Week contract. We will also consider special she-empowering circumstances as well.

Do I need to have Branding before I start?

Yes. Unless you purchase this as an additional package, yes. You need to have a logo, a brand name, and you will need to choose your domain name accordingly. We have tutorials and support for each of these aspects within your Website in a Week portal.

Do I need to write my own copy, and have my own images?

Yes. Unless you purchase this as an additional package, yes. You will upload both to your Google Drive prior to your Kick Off Call. We have turorials and support for each of these website aspects within your Website in a Week Google Drive and/or membership portal. You can also purchase add-ons where we support you with these assets (NOT our #1 areas of expertise, but we can hold our own), or we have recommendations for true experts in each area as well.

Do I need anything else?

You will need a Google Drive account. We use several Google Suite products and folders for instructions, support, and project management all within that Google Drive and/or within your membership. You don't need to pay for any other subscriptions, and you don't need to create any other additional accounts.

What is the Website in a Week portal?

This is a portal within our website, or within your Google Folder (depending on when you sign up) that holds support tools, assets, and lessons. If you are stuck on an aspect of your Prep Phase, you can find answers here. You can also purchase additional supports if you decide you would rather have us handle this, and we have recommendations for experts in copy, images, and branding as well.

How do I schedule my Website Week?

Once your invoice is paid, you'll receive a Google folder and/or membership portal login with instructions to upload assets in preparation for your Website Week Design Day. You can schedule your Website Week as soon as you've paid your invoice, but you will want to give yourself time to get all the required assets uploaded and ready. If you have booked your Website Week, and you do not have assets ready for your scheduled day prior to our Kick-Off Call, we will need to reschedule your project. Your Website Week moves to the back of the queue, and your remaining balance must be paid in full prior to rescheduling.

How do Add-Ons work?

Add-Ons are items that are not included in the Website in a Week packaage, but can be purchased additionally. They may not be completed within "Website Week," but attempts will be made. These are added to your cart at checkout, and must be paid in full.

Will I need to be available on my Design Day(s)?

Yes, you will be needed. Not 'sitting at your phone or computer all day,' needed, but you'll want to make sure you have your phone or Google Meet handy if questions or feedback requests arrive. Plan on being free for a two-ish hour chunk Wednesday or Thursday for the reveal and revisions process.

Do you use AI?

Minimally. Every aspect of our projects starts and ends with a human. When stuck on a particular code block, or when brainstorming the perfect header, we may turn to AI to help brainstorm. But approximately 90% or more of our work is human. We do provide AI tools in your Toolbox contents, to support you. You don't have to use them, there are non-AI tools as well, but they're handy, functional, and there if you need them.
